It's a Pumpkin Addiction!

One of my worst addictions is Pumpkin fragrances! I have so many I even don't know which ones to choose in the Fall.

Pumpkin Spice - A warm spicy pumpkin-clove type with a cinnamon top note, a fruity vegetal pumpkin middle note and a sweet sugary vanilla base note.


Pumpkin Pie - Fresh baked pumpkin pie baked with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and ginger. This is one of my staples in my living room year-round. It has a touch of caramel that just makes it delectable. It does have a touch of “sweet” so if you don’t like a sweet pumpkin, try Pumpkin Thyme or Pumpkin Souffle which are both fantastic!

Gingerbread Pumpkin - A scrumptious blend of sweet and spicy gingerbread infused with creamy pumpkin!

And....

Butternut Pumpkin - A blend of butternut squash, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, clove and vanilla.

Caramel Pumpkin Bliss - Creamy pumpkin pie infused with creamy caramel to create a sweet fragrance that makes home a place you never want to leave.

Pumpkin Cake - My obsession with Pumpkin continues! Warm pumpkin cake frosted with thick, creamy white buttercream frosting. Definitely one of a kind!

Pumpkin Maple Pecan (NEW!) - Love this addition! This new blend of sweet pumpkin and nutty vanilla is a scrumptious sweet blend that fills the room with mmmmm! It's like being in a candy shop with warm pumpkin pie.

Pumpkin Spice Latte (NEW!) - A rich blend of coffee and pumpkin spices make this a rich delcious aroma great for fall.

Pumpkin Thyme - A Pumpkin custard with notes of Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Clove and Ginger.

Vanilla Hazelnut Pumpkin - This wonderful fragrance takes soothing vanilla and hazelnut and spikes it with scrumptious pumpkin and spices to make a blend that says "you're home."

Vanilla Pumpkin Spice - Vanilla bouquet with buttery nut nuances with spicy pumpkin.

1. What is your shop name and what do you sell? bethsingleton (Beth Singleton Designs). I sell handmade glass lampwork beads.

3. When did you start selling on Etsy? I joined in April 2007 but didn't list anything until October 2007 when I listed a few items. I made the complete switch from eBay in December 2007 and haven't looked back.

4. What is your favorite thing about Etsy? I love the idea of having a shop instead of having auctions I have to watch. It is the perfect place for me. Etsy attracts the right customers for my product. It's also nice to be able to work from home. I'm still able to manage my household and family responsibilities and bring in an extra income. Life is Good!

5. What is your favorite thing about what you sell? I love making glass lampwork beads. My beads tend to be bright, fun and funky. I just love wearing my beads on my Pandora bracelet. It's fun to mix and match them.
6. What is your favorite item in your own shop and why? My most popular items are my large hole bracelet beads. I think people like to collect them, mix them up, change them out to go with different outfits. For me collecting Artisan Pandora and Troll style bracelet beads in like wearing little pieces of art around you wrist. I also have on customer that uses my large hole beads for braided kangaroo leather leads that she makes.

7. What teams do you belong to? None. I don't have time for all of that.

8. What is the most fun thing you do to promote your shop? I don't know if there is any one thing that works better for me. I do have a custom bumper sticker with my URL and a picture of my beads that I have on my car. I promote on Craigslist, Myspace, Indiepublic, Flickr, Nifty, and even Classmates.com.

9. What are some of your favorite finds by other sellers on Etsy? My favorites have been dog related items. I bought a stamped "King of Farts" dog tag from this seller: http://www.sudlow.etsy.com/. My yellow lab is actually featured in her picture for this item (he's the one at the bottom left corner) I also bought 3 beautiful dog prints that look just like my 3 dogs from this seller: http://www.dogartstudio.etsy.com/. The 3 prints brighten my studio!

10. What do you do in your spare time? Spare Time? What is that? I don't seem to have much of that these days. I do squeeze in some volunteer work every now and then. We love attending my son's JV Football games. We have about 65 acres of land and when I have time (not lately) I enjoy morning walks with my dogs on the trails. There's plenty of wildlife to be enjoyed on the walks...deer, geese, ducks, and an occasional snake and even a coyote once. I also help out with my mother-in-law that has cancer and dementia which can be very frustrating at times. On bad days I can retreat to my studio, light up my torch and get away from it all.

5. What is your favorite thing about what you sell? I love the custom things I do because they are more personal and I love that feeling.

6. What is your favorite item in your own shop and why? Other than my hair bows, I would say the bowboards. They are so versatile and can be converted to bulletin boards as the little girls grow. They can be totally customized for a bedroom or bathroom!

7. What teams do you belong to? none at the moment

8. What is the most fun thing you do to promote your shop? I love the forums. I also started a blog and have a free Halloween Hairbow drawing. All people have to do is comment and they are entered.

9. What are some of your favorite finds by other sellers on Etsy? I really love so many shops. They are all so unique and there are so many gifted people on Etsy. I love the soap shops and the knitted items!

10. What do you do in your spare time? I love to read, but mostly in the summer. I am a teacher and I get too caught up in my books to put them down. If I read in the school year, I wouldn't get much else done! Crafting and trying new things. I am always interested in trying some new craft. I love to learn how things are made. 11. Do you have anything else you would like to share? I have a wonderful shop and am adding things often! I am new to Etsy and need to get my name out there. I sell quality items that I would only buy myself or my daughter. I want people to know they can buy with confidence if they choose to purchase an item from me.

I signed up as a buyer in December 2006, and then I started selling about a month later.

What is your favorite thing about Etsy?
There's a lot of things I love, but my favorite is that I get to stay home with my little boys and not have to get a job where I'd have to wear nylons. Plus now I hardly even do craft shows, Etsy brings the buyers right to my door out here in the middle of nowhere.

What is your favorite thing about what you sell?
Everything is useful. I love art too, but I'm a big fan of functional.
